Very strange libtool logic: msg#00100gnu.libtool.general
Hello, Recently i detected the following very strange build logic, which apparently stems from libtool: While building the db-4.2.52 distribution with gcc-3.3.3 and only a static libstdc++, the build system extracts all objects from libstdc++.a to a temporary directory and adds them to the Berkeley DB C++ archive libdb_cxx-4.2.a. What is the reason for this unbelievable action and how can it be avoided? Greetings Franz |
