libtool.m4 and support for CC -xar on solaris: msg#00111gnu.libtool.general
I've installed libtool-1.4.3 on Solaris 8 (Solaris 8 2/02 s28s_u7wosa SPARC). I'm using the native C++ compiler (CC: WorkShop Compilers 5.0 02/10/08 C++ 5.0 Path 107311-19). The CVS log for libtool.m4 seems to show the support for using CC -xar -o … instead of ar to create a static library, and the support appeasr to have been there for ages. However, the copy of libtool.m4 (link to libinclude.m4) in the libtool-1.4.3.tar.gz that I installed from doesn't have the CC -xar support. Can someone tell me what version of libtool I need (or what patch I need to apply)? Thanks. --Brent _______________________________________________Libtool mailing list Libtool@xxxxxxx http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/libtool |
