Modal dialog coordination: msg#00003gnome.tomboy
Just wanted to bounce an idea off anyone who'd listen. Tomboy, among other apps, suffers from a problem with modal dialog windows. Specifically, it has problems coordinating modal dialogs and access to the tray icon. One such problem: Alt+F12 can cause duplicate items in the main menu http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=531774 What should happen is that if a modal dialog is open and the user clicks on the tray icon, the modal dialog should be brought to the top of all other windows and the tray icon should do nothing. This is at least what I think should be the solution. To do that, creating a modal dialog (or opening the tray icon) would have to be moderated via a single place (perhaps something new for Utils.cs). Thoughts? Suggestions? Concerns? -Boyd |
