Getting text entry to print

hello. i have been using th wonderul pygtk tutorial
and have really enjoyed learning gui

My problem is that I cant seem to pass a text_entry
afet I get it.
Here is my program.
What I want to do is be able to manipulate data that
is entereed into a text_entry widget

        self.printButton = gtk.Button("Print it?")
        self.printButton.connect("clicked",
self.printIt, entry.get_text())
        self.box2.pack_start(self.printButton,
