Does this have the capacity to replay back the events?

all this thing does is insert a hook where gdk passes events off to gtk+, and dump information about each one. you could use that information to synthesize events and propagate them, but i don't expect it will work very well. i was really wanting to see if i could write something like Spy++ which comes with MSVC6.

there's a different project, based in C, that wants to use the XTest extension and actually implement event recording and playback; can't remember the name at the moment, but i remember discussing it on gtk-devel-list.
