assuming that you see files in Gtk2/xs/ called GtkList.xs and GtkListItem.xs,
but no .c versions. you need to rerun

> perl Makefile.PL PREFIX=xxx/whatever/you/wish/yyy

as a general rul any time new xs files are added the makefile(s) need to be
regenerated. if you do this and things still don't seem to work let me know.
