sorry, i'm a little slow. from what i understand, this guy forked gaim 
(which is GPLed), added some adware, and proudly proclaimed that his fork 
is proprietary. then, he sent a note to one of gaim's primary developers 
and offered him the opportunity to advertise on this client.

like i said, i'm a little slow. did i get that right?
