want to write perl bot using gaim protocol library: msg#00164gnome.gaim.devel
Hello all, I am not sure whether this is the right place to ask this question. If not please let me know. And I am a perl beginner, so please bare with me. Thanks. I want to write a perl bot, which can initiate connections by it self and start talking to other bots or may be another instance of the same bot. I went through the source tree of gaim 1.1.0 and figured out that there is some support provided by gaim to talk to the gaim protocol library modules. However, not having enough insight into perl Extensions, I did not exactly understand How can I do this? Or at the first place can I use gaim for such purpose? Any inputs will be very helpful. Thanks for your valuable time.
