gnome.gaim.devel

Subject: Re: Issue with proxied HTTP connections

Hello all,

I have now unsubscribed from this list but for future reference:

I am now able to connect to the aol messaging server with gaim by
opening a http tunnel through my web proxy server. There is a product
called your-freedom (www.your-freedom.net) which runs as a java applet
(.jar file) which I can run on my Debian/PPC system with the IBM JRE.

In case somebody else asks this question, at least now a solution is
posted on the list.

Feel free to email me erik dot chakravarty at sms dot ac dot uk if
anyone needs setup pointers.

Thanks

Erik
