um wouldn't it just be one #ifdef _win32 to add another plugin dir path?

I'd like to make it search for smiley themes there as well. I think that's the only other thing to worry about at the moment. Perhaps custom smiley themes should also be installed there when the user drags a theme tarball to the prefs window. That's another question we should consider.
