If you don't mind building your database again, I'd try to do
($~) rm -r .gnome2/rhythmbox/
and even
($~) rm -r .gconf/apps/rhythmbox/

Of course, you can keep .gnome2/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml to the end, and
delete it only after you made sure all the other files aren't the
problem. This way you won't lose your database if you don't "have"
to...
