Solved....

I installed glib 2.12.7, and it works again. glib-2.12.5 seems to have a
problem that has been fixed with either 2.12.6 or 2.12.7.

Go-to-file-as-you-type

Hi, I have several thousands images in single directories. Their names all start with a timestamp for easy chronological ordering. When I browse my images with Gqview, it's quite hard to get to a specific date quickly. I have to scroll carefully (and this is difficult since there is a huge amount of files). Using the touchpad on a laptop, this is almost impossible. It would be nice if typing a few caracters would jump to the first file begining with those caracters. Several GTK file dialogs allow that (the GIMP for example). Another thing that would make me happy is to have the option to copy the basenames of a selection. Currently, the whole path of each file is pasted in a command window when draging a selection into it and selecting "Paste". Thank you very much. Rotate images with gqview 2.0.x

Hi, I have problems rotating images with gqview 2.0.x. I don't know when it started. It did work with the 2.0.x series of software but stopped some two weeks ago. The "Edit command results" windows appears, the red/green icon animates and stops, the image is rotated but the close button stays disabled. I can't close the "Edit command results" window. I have to kill gqview. Restarting the software shows a rotated image. I compiled 2.0.1 to 2.0.4 with no difference in this part of the software. I recompiled jpegsrc (with jpegtran). I know I changed Cairo/gtk/glib within the last few weeks, this could be a lead. I have gqview installed in the /opt/ path and it's not in $PATH (changed this too with --prefix=/usr and no --prefix at all without any difference. I did not change anything in the rotate menu, it's still "%vif jpegtran -rotate 90 -copy all -outfile %p_tmp %p; then mv %p_tmp %p;else rm %p_tmp;fi" I don't want to dig in the code, so does anybody has an idea what might be wrong? Re: More usable displaying comments for files

After lecture of the thread "[Gqview-users] Info-display in Fullscreen display" http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.gnome.apps.gqview.user/248/focus=248 I've found out that there is a "i" option in a full screen mode (I haven't found that option in a "Keyboard shortcuts"). A feature described by me above could be attached to "i" option. Maybe you could expand that option to allow display also comment on demand (e.g. none, basic info, comment, basic + comment). > [1] - I think that text in "Comment" windows (in Keyword frame) should > be wrapped (currently there is a horizontal scrollbar). I don't have latest development (2.1.5) version, but if it still exist you could fix it. Regards Marcin ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
