Subject: date error after importing - msg#00030

List: gnome.apps.f-spot

Date: Prev Next Index Thread: Prev Next Index
Hello, everyone.

Today, I reconized that f-spot import function has a kind of error .

That is, I have several photos - a couple of photos are taken by
eos-30D, others are taken by 400D

when I import 400D's , date and time are exactly matched to the EXIF
infomation,

For example, one picture on 30D 's date is 2006:08:13 at the EXIF info
viewed in nautilus,

but, 2006:08:12 in f-spot ..

anyone knows how to solve this problem ?

or do we need to hack the import extension?

Re: Install latest svn trunk in Ubuntu?

I had a chance to do some more testing and I was able to successfully use the debian package I created to install the latest SVN version of the source on my main system.  I think the dbus error was related to an issue with my virtual machine.  So the steps outlined in my previous email do work to successfully install the latest version of f-spot.  Thanks again for your help.JoshOn Nov 13, 2007 2:32 AM, Stephane Delcroix <stephane@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: >      1. from terminal in the trunk directory, run ./autogen.sh>         --prefix=/usr --disable-scrollkeeperyou don't have to disable scrollkeeper if f-spot is installed as root>      1. run make all >      2. run sudo checkinstall -D>      3. when prompted, set version (I used 0.4.1-svn3457)>      4. then set name (f-spot)>      5. to run application I had to type dbus-launch f-spot your gnome session is responsible of launching a dbus-session.s _______________________________________________ F-spot-list mailing list F-spot-list@xxxxxxxxx http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/f-spot-list

Re: ChangeLocation - fist try

Hi Much appreciated. I'll tell you later. :) Yes, I do not have to much disaster recovery in this extension, both for exceptions as well as power failure. Perhaps I should backup the database first as a safety option? Hmm. Will need to think of some exception handling also perhaps. Only way I can see is first to create some internal arrays with the photos to change path of, and second to change the database. If something happen you reverse the changes. Power failure can be handled by automatic backup of the database. If no negative comments to this plan I'll come out with 0.9.1 with this kind of exception handling :) > > second: ui lock. When I tested on a large database, the extension gui disappeared but the database took another hour or two for the update to be finished. Have no clue how to deal with this one, suggestions? Thanks for the report :) /Bengt
