Yeah, nothing motivates OSS coders like coming in and calling the
product "terrible" and then making angry demands!

Search the list archives for why the bookmarks are the way they are -
there are plenty of discussions there.

Next time, how about a little tact and respect for the guys who make
this stuff happen, eh?  Marco and the team get enough whining on
GnomeDesktop.org as it is without having to have people bring it to
their "front door" here on the mailing list.
