[OSM-dev] mapnik Debian packages

Hi Artem, list,

Following on from our conversation at the weekend, I'm thinking about
packaging mapnik for Debian. Assuming you think that's a good idea (and
anyone else?) can you give any advice on whether to go with stable
releases (latest seems to be 0.3.3, released in May) or SVN. Would
anyone here use the packages if they were based around the stable
releases? Can we expect an new release at any point soon? ;)
