Yes, I'm using the xy mode (running "perl ./tilesGen.pl xy 2176 1420" just
now").

Interestingly enough, the images from 2177,1421 just appeared on
http://osmathome.bandnet.org/Tiles/12/2177/. Is there a manual or
time-delayed step involved?

No, I generated it.  I needed to check whether there was some other problem with it :-)
