Working on C++ SRTM code

Hello everyone who's expressed an interest in SRTM code,

For speed-maximising reasons I'm working on converting the map drawing part of 
Freemap to C++ from PHP. I'm designing the code to be as reusable as possible 
so it should be easy to plug into any GUI application (osmeditor and anything 
else). Will add to subversion and let you know when it's in a workable state.
