In my experience Eclipse 3.0 isn't compatible with JDK 1.5.  I believe 
that in 3.1 there's a greater effort to make both 1.5 and amd64 work, 
but that doesn't help us for now.  As far as motif is concerned, Eclipse 
only supports GTK on amd64.  Something should probably be added to the 
ebuild to tell the user.
