Hm. I DO have stuff in my linuxrc version which attempts to insmod the
different scsi modules. In fact, it does load the BusLogic SCSI module
successfully.
Nevertheless, there is no device in /dev for this. Is there more to it
than just loading the module?
You mention above that udev is started AFTER the modules are loaded: is
this correct? It seems to me like it would make more sense for udev to
start before anything is loaded, so it can be notified when things get
loaded and set up the right stuff in /dev.
I start udev right at the beginning of linuxrc, before any SCSI modules
are loaded... is this a problem?
