 This bug is more general than reported. I'm getting the same:
 "BFD: don't know how to handle OS specific section" (in this case
 '.gnu.hash').
 
 Like the reporter, I'm running on an AMD 64 bit (opteron) processor. The
 os is Fedora Core 6.
