Not that I disagree with your sentiments, but consider the following: - The xterm program still has a dependency on some form of the Xaw library. Though it looks like it can use any of about 4 different versions of Xaw. - The VSW5 testsuite requires Xaw for some of the tests. I don't recall if VSW5 contains it's own copy of Xaw to use if one is not provided by the system. - I'm pretty sure Motif/Open Motif has a dependency on the Xpm library.
