Well, I think FC.o does its best to be a "big tent" organization...
while our official position would probably be close to Lessig's call
for balance instead of copyright maximalism or other extremism,
there's no reason to exclude people who are convinced that more
radical changes are necessary.
If our mission is to enable grassroots participation in culture,
reasonable people can disagree about what the best way to do that is.
While completely excising copyrights, patents, etc. from our laws
would remove legal barriers to creativity, they may raise economic
barriers by making it harder to make a living from creativity. Choose
your poison.
