Nymex: msg#00346finance.e-gold.user
I wonder if there is anyone in this group who is familiar with the Nymex and would be able to help me understand a couple of terms from their website ( www.nymex.com ). On their Delivery Notices page there are two columns, one labelled "Issues" and the other "Stoppers". For any given commodity, the amount in each column equals the other. For example, in today's silver, Citigroup is listed (by itself) under "Issues", with a quantity of 101, and on the "Stoppers" side there is The Bank Of Nova Scotia - 98, R. J. O'brien & Associates - 1, and Man Financial Inc.-Pioneer Div - 2, for an equal total of 101. I understand (from the website glossary) that the Delivery Notices page is displaying those traders who are announcing an intention to deliver physical metal, but what does it mean to be an "Issue" or a "Stopper"? |
