New chart - Gold & Silver vs. Constitutional Dollar: msg#00321finance.e-gold.user
A few months back, Venkat requested a chart comparing the price of gold with the constitutional dollar. Since The Coinage Act of 1792 defined a bi-metallic dollar, both gold & silver are compared. [ http://i1.tinypic.com/mjmy4l.gif ] The chart is arranged such that the constitutionally defined dollar (~0.052 oz. gold or ~0.77 oz. silver) is at 100%, and the graph lines trend down as the USD market price goes up.
