To me, it seems very obvious that the ecurrency's servers must be scattered/redundant across the world so that if one gov seizes servers in one country that the entire operation is not immediately affected. From a technical standpoint this is not hard to do, but e-gold has never been known as one who was much into technology. e-gold is not near the point that they can win a battle of public opinion versus the authorities right now. If the Feds in the US decided that they were bored and wanted some action, they could just head over to Florida and seize everything e-gold has physically and it would be a page 28 story in the newspaper. Even it was an illegal search and seizure with no warrant whatsoever. They say the word *terrorism* and everything else becomes a moot point. Why the hell would ANYONE operating in what they know is a gray area do so in the USA? NUK |
