please help me

I seem to have obtained a virus that has converted my hard drive from (NTFS) to (Secure File System (Peter Gutmann)).  I have no idea how this happened, but have much irreplaceable data on this drive, and need it back!  I cant seem to find any utility to read this drive, and have no idea what to do.  Is there a way to convert the drive back to NTFS, or just any way to read the data so I can back it up?  Please help......
