You need to run an SFS server to register a key. Try running the
command "sfssd -d" as root. If that doesn't work, send us the output
of the command.

Note also that this is not your problem, but do not run sfscd with the
-L flag. -L turns off all the linux-specific workarounds in sfscd to
make sfscd behave the way it does on other operating systems. This is
only useful when testing patches that fix bugs in the Linux kernel.
(Since our patch for the main bug this is working around was rejected
by the Linux kernel maintainers, -L is pretty much guaranteed not to
work.)
