macos troubles

Using gmp 4.1.2 and g++ 3.2.2 on MacOS X (Darwin Kernel Version 6.4: Wed
Jan 29 18:50:42 PST 2003; root:xnu/xnu-344.26.obj~1/RELEASE_PPC), I get
the same test_aes PANIC and FAIL shown in

http://diswww.mit.edu/snafu.fooworld.org/sfs/943

in addition to

FAIL: test_srp

Trying to run sfscd results in a bus error.  Under gdb:
