I don't mind about this, and I didn't already done it... And I think I 
won't be able to help in this task (time + skill limits).
I have an experience with a shell script enhanced and rewriten in C by 
someone else... I now can't improve it anymore, because each C line is a 
nightmare for me. I always think about the corresponding lines I 
wouldn't write in Perl, because they're just useless noise in this 
high-level language ;-)
