Hello,

I have one message in the listing of messages in my Inbox that I cannot
get to or delete. If I try to open that message, I get the error:

Unable to retrieve message
Cannot get message 134185 from folder /..../.evolution/mail/local/Inbox
No such message

How can I get rid of this dead message?

Evolution 2.28.1 on Debian Sid amd64
---

Kind regards,
Felix

Evo will recreate what it needs. If you're nervous, make a copy of everything first. Remember to stop Evo with --force-shutdown before doing anything. > I believe, based on the above size numbers, that the location of the > missing messages is the "subsidiary", which BTW Evo created > without my asking it to when it was hijacking the move icon > off & on all day Wednesday, You may have inadvertently created an additional folder. In any case, clean up the indices (in both directories) before reorganizing. poc _______________________________________________ Evolution-list mailing list Evolution-list@xxxxxxxxx http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

Sounds like a broken index. See an earlier thread from yesterday and today on how to fix this. poc _______________________________________________ Evolution-list mailing list Evolution-list@xxxxxxxxx http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list

[Evolution] XLIST Support?

Is there any support for XLIST [the non-standard but cool feature from Gmail] in Evolution? There is now a patch to add XLIST support to Cyrus IMAPd [the world's ultimate IMAP server]. This would be yet another small step towards zero-config mail clients [this system administrator's long... long running dream. :)] <http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/morg/current/msg00212.html> <http://groups.google.com/group/Gmail-Help-POP-and-IMAP-en/browse_thread/thread/a154105c54f020fb?pli=1> <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=476260#c17> <http://lists.andrew.cmu.edu/pipermail/cyrus-devel/2009-November/001309.html> -- OpenGroupware developer: awilliam@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <http://whitemiceconsulting.blogspot.com/> OpenGroupare & Cyrus IMAPd documenation @ <http://docs.opengroupware.org/Members/whitemice/wmogag/file_view> _______________________________________________ Evolution-list mailing list Evolution-list@xxxxxxxxx http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
