Dell Smartcard Drivers

I was trying to find some information on Linux support (driver) for the
Dell Latitude series of integrated smartcard readers, so far without
success. Do you know of anyone working on a driver (or maybe a driver
that would work and didn't find), or if not, could you direct me to some
good resources to try to write a driver myself. I read the guide on the
webpage but the problem is that since it's not a USB reader, it's much
harder to reverse engineer...
