ePass2000 usb: msg#00248encryption.opensc.devel
Hi folks, I have an ePass2000 card but I can't get it to work under Linux. The manufacturer claims to have Linux support, but it is a bit of a shoddy job. The install script has typos in some commands (causing it to break) and the kernel module is only for 2.4.18, no source. I'm running 2.4.27. I found this mailing list post: http://www.opensc.org/pipermail/opensc-devel/2004-October/004780.html However, I probably can't even act on that information yet, since I first need to get the card recognizable at the driver layer. OpenCT doesn't seem to have support for this card. The manufacturer's kernel module uses PC/SC. I've emailed the manufacturer. Otherwise I can only think of waiting for an open source driver or try to hack the binary module. Or downgrade to 2.4.18. -Justin |
