A _current_ PWD (Partnerworld in Development) system consist of a new
IBM system preloaded with the AD/CD - so the terms are to some extent
equivalent.

The PC Server S/390 (Announcement Letter 197-004) is not primarily a
development-only system.

Indeed. It's a bit of an issue for a number of companies at
present. A little while back it was possible to search for Gartner
articles - you got hits from a South African University who had all
the stuff online but password-protected - any attempt to click on the
URL Google gave you resulted in a password challenge. But if you
clicked on the 'Cached' link on Google's search page, it delivered
the results. Google was clearly violating Gartner's copyright.

It is in the EU, for the purpose of determining interfaces, and I
believe it should be. Amdahl reverse-engineered the interfaces to
IBM's CFCC. That has NOTHING to do with what we're talking about
here - reverse engineering to re-implement a complete product is and
should remain illegal.
