Elmo, Elmo, Elmo, the master of FUD, trying to act innocent and noble...

It is your behavior, in general, on this group and the hercules-390 group,
that makes me disrespect you. The description of this group, which I
interpret as its purpose, is "This group is for advocacy of issues relating
to the Hercules emulator for IBM mainframe systems." For the Hercules-390
group it is "Discussion group for users of the Hercules ESA/390 mainframe
emulator." Your participation in these groups has been counter to their
purpose. Granted, you could argue that you are discussing Hercules on the
Hercules-390 group, but I would say that is comparable to saying you are
playing a friendly game of poker, when you are really arguing with the other
players that gambling is illegal and they could all go to jail. I honestly
don't know why you are subscribed to these groups, much less being an active
participant. I have some theories, but they just lower my opinion of you and
FSI even more.

A couple of recent examples are your questions on the QPL license as it
applies to Hercules and what was the source of knowledge for the
incorporation of the z/SIE block in Hercules. Why do these issues
interest/concern you? On the QPL thread, it seems, at least on the surface,
that you where trying to alert potential contributors to the Hercules
project that the original developers might make a buck off their work. If
that was your point, why don't you just come out and say it? If that wasn't
your point, what was the point? And don't just say you were trying to
understand the QPL license, the wording of your questions and your comments
made it clear you were trying to get the developers to say something in
particular. For the z/SIE block thread, just call IBM and alert them that
you suspect that this project has improperly incorporated IBM property and
let their lawyers handle it from there. Then you will have done your civic
duty, and there is no need for you to antagonize us further on that issue.

But you know what? IBMers are subscribed to this group, other posts lead me
to believe they have used or worked with it internally. I would be shocked
if no one from IBM has downloaded the code and looked at it. If Hercules has
violated IBM patents or Intellectual Property, don't you think the IBMers
would already be aware of this and have, or will soon, take the appropriate
action? This would be money out of THEIR pockets after all. I realize that
you probably see this as money out of your pocket, why else would you be
spreading FUD here? But unless you can prove that this project has infringed
on FSI's patents or Intellectual Property, you don't have what I would
consider a valid reason for antagonizing us, and this wouldn't be the proper
forum for addressing it anyway.

Finally on you comment, quoted above. I haven't seen you bring up many
'facts' to be proven correct or incorrect in your postings. I would say you
haven't brought any facts to the group, but I don't feel like reviewing the
archives to determine whether or not that is true. If you have brought any
facts to the group, they are buried in so much FUD they are hard to
recognize. As for your 'points' being undeserving of dialog...what are your
points? You want the Hercules project to go away? You want the Hercules
developers to be sued into bankruptcy and/or go to jail? Why are you
participating in these groups Elmo FUD?
