We need only to hear from IBM that they will offer advantageous
licensing for this market segment. Until then, why bother making an
offering if software is impossible (impractical) to get? Some
commercial operations do order our ESL or fractional GOLC box for use as
developmental/departmental servers, but the
IBM software for z/OS is still either OTC or (in the case of 1/3 GOLC)
about
2K a month.

We see Linux as a strategic direction of the z/series group (and indeed
of IBM in general), so I do not believe IBM would see a windows version
as a great plus in the direction of where they want sysprog skills to
go. There are no plans at present for a windows-based version of
Flex-ES.
