Subject: bochs newbie

Hi all,
I have tried to set up networking in the Debian 3.0r0 image contributed by Robert Millan and downloaded from this site using Bochs 2.0.2 and 2.1pre. While there is no problem doing the same with the dlxlinux image, which has (I think) a linux kernel v1.3, the kernel resident in the debian image seems to fail when trying to detect the PCI bus, where the ne2k should be located (isn't it??). Also I have recompiled bochs in cygwin with the same results. These are some kernel messages produced by the Debian 3.0r0 image with Bochs 2.1pre:

when trying to set up the ethernet:
ifconfig eth0 10.111.160.160

eth0: ERROR while getting flags: No such device

I have read somewhere in the bochs website that the PCI support is incomplete, but It works successfully in dlxlinux (I can do ftp's...).

Any hints?

Thank you for your time and effort...

Juan
