virtual processor

Hi,

Lately I've noticed that some people are trying to instrument the Bochs
cpu in order to collect trace data (for research purposes). I once wrote
a prototype virtual processor so I could collect trace data on a
per-instruction basis. While Bochs emulates an entire machine my vcpu
only emulates a single thread of an x86 program at run-time. This can be
very useful if you're only interested in the behavior of that one thread
instead of the entire machine executed by the Bochs emulator. If you're
