Re: Stability question...: msg#00122emulators.bochs.devel
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 It is my personal opinion that the binary releases of Bochs are by nature ill-suited to run pre-packaged OSes, but personally configured and compiled versions can do the job fairly well. Ironically, this would require editors and compilers, which is what you are looking for Bochs to run. You did not say what systems your student does have access to, so I can't make a recommendation as to what you can run on it to satisfy your requirement, except to say that you can go to a recycler or eBay and pick up a relatively ancient machine cheap and install Linux or BSD on it. -DG - -- "No gnu's is good gnu's." --Gary Gnu, "The Great Space Coaster" On Friday, October 31, 2003, at 09:53 AM, Benjamen R.
