Stability question...: msg#00120emulators.bochs.devel
I am doing some tutoring on programming, and my student does not have access to a Linux based system. I am considering the possibility of setting him up with an installation of Bochs running one of the distros - debian, slackware would be preferable. Uses would be for using editors (vi), perl, and the gnu suite (g++, gcc, make, etc.). Would you guys consider Bochs stable enough to do this? Do you think that the speed of bochs would be viable for this? I don't mind the slow down - and actually appreciate it for this application as it will teach other things too. Any how, as this is probably off-topic to the list, please respond to me personally. Thank you! Benjamen R.
