On Windows, use Microsoft Visual C++, MinGW <www.mingw.org>, or Cygwin 
<www.cygwin.com>. On UNIX, use GCC 
<http://gcc.gnu.org/install/binaries.html>. The MacOS9 port uses 
Metrowerks Codewarrior Pro 3.
