Bochs can boot from CD-ROM if it is able to access the media. Have a look at
the logfile (e.g. bochsout.txt).

This module (plugin) is not present in Bochs 2.0.2, but in the 2.1 prerelease. 
I guess you have mixed both versions (2.1 executable + 2.0.2 plugins). If you 
compile Bochs yourself, you should do the final step 'make install'.

You are using a new VGABIOS image (rev. 0.4a) with an old vga emulation 
plugin. To avoid trouble you should always use plugins and rom images 
distributed with the same package as the main Bochs executable.

That's no problem. The guest OS tries to detect the EISA bus.

The guest OS tries to detect the PCI bus, but Bochs is usually compiled 
without PCI and the 'i440fxsupport' is disabled in config.

Please repeat you test with all Bochs components of the same package.
