Interrupt delivery in Bochs SMP: msg#00095emulators.bochs.devel
I'm using Bochs to implement SMP in a microkernel OS. I've already got Minix SMP installed and running on Bochs with 2 CPUs. With Minix, both CPUs set their local APIC to ExINT mode, so that they should both receive external interrupts. However, only CPU0 is receiving external interrupts. Interprocessor interrupts do work with Bochs. On a real platform with 2 CPUs and running Minix SMP, both CPUs are seeing external interrupts. I've been tearing out my hair trying to work out why Bochs isn't delivering interrupts to both CPUs. If someone could point out where I should look in the Bochs code, or a patch that I can apply, to get the external interrupts to be sent to both CPUs, I'd be very grateful. Thanks, Warren P.S Minix SMP doesn't touch the I/O APIC, so I don't think that this is the problem. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: The SF.net Donation Program.
