That would be like trying to operate a Pentium chip without the rest of the PC. If you believe your test program can accomplish that, you're welcome to try it. -DG

Hi,

Could you elaborate a bit on why the cpu files wouldnt work after satisfying
the dependencies? I am trying to fetch, decode and execute instruction by
instruction using only the cpu files.

Thanks,
Ashish

That symbol is defined in logio.cc (or logio.cpp), but I don't think
the cpu files will run by themselves, even if you satisfy the
dependencies. -DG

Hi,

I am trying to compile and link only the cpu files. The code compiles,
but
when I try to link, I get several errors of the form

tasking.obj : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "public: void
__cdecl logfunctions::info(char const *,...)"
(?info@logfunctions@@QAAXPBDZZ)

I am running on Windows and am using VC++. Is there some way to
provide this
symbol to the environment or something to resolve it?

Thanks,
Ashish
