Newbie question about freezing floppy...

I have downloaded, compiled and installed the latest bochs 2.0.2. It
starts up freedos ok but when I try to access the floppy disks, either
as images or as /dev/fd0 the simulated system
freezes after printing  "Volume in drive A"

I am using Redhat 9 on a normal pentium.

Is this i known problem?
