[update] linkd.el 1.40 (alpha release 3)

I have updated linkd.el to version 1.40 in response to the great
feedback and suggestions I've received. I've attached the source code
to this message. 

NOTCE: This version contains an incompatible change to the link
syntax! The keyword :path has been changed to :file-name per RMS's
request. (The GNU standard is not to use "path" for file names.)

You will have to run an M-x replace-string on your links before they
will work properly.

Other changes in this release:

- Fixed point motion problems.
- Allow file name extensions to determine action taken on following
  file links. See linkd-file-handler-alist
- Fix disappearing stars when star has no name
- Fix "End of buffer" when navigating links
- Handle null string passed to linkd-insert-star
- Properly fontify and de-fontify when toggling linkd-mode
- Multiple links per line work properly
