| Hmmm, getting the proper indentation using a web browser appears to be
| difficult. Please replace all underscores in the following with
| spaces. I've also shortened the lines to avoid conflicting with the
| advertisement:
|
| <para>_lk_sflk_sdlfk_sdlk_dlf
| _fldflks_flksd_flkdf_lfldf
| _sdlkf_sldf_dlfk_dlf_dlfd_fldkf
| _dslfdlf_dsl </para>
I don't know of an option to do this, and maybe it'd be appropriate
for nxml-mode to have one, but bear in mind that whitespace in
elements with mixed content *is significant*.
I know of a commercial product that has a tendency to turn
<para>My_text_about_something_that_goes_on_for_a_long_time..._and
ends_here.</para>
into
__________________<para>
________________________My_text_about_something_that_goes_on_for_a_long
________________________time..._and ends_here.
__________________</para>
which just drives me absolutely *nuts*. They've got *no business*
adding significant whitespace to my document. (Well, not my document,
I edit everything with nxml-mode, but the document my colleague has
edited :-)
Be seeing you,
norm
