Such files will get lost when you next update your Aquamacs.
Therefore, do not place any files inside the application bundle. "No  
user-serviceable contents inside!"
(Unless you'd like to mess with and contribute to Aquamacs - in which  
case you're more than welcome!)

The user-level directory for this kind of stuff is

~/Library/Application Support/Aquamacs Emacs/

Info files may be placed here:

~/Library/Application Support/Aquamacs Emacs/w3m/info

.. and they will be found automatically in Aquamacs 1.1.

If you have w3m working, why not create a nice plugin (it doesn't  
require much) that people can download and install?
