hi,

i am not sure if this is the answer you're looking for, but if you can alias the name 'emacs' to aquamacs emacs by putting the following line in your .bashrc file

alias emacs='open -a /Applications/Aquamacs\ Emacs.app'

Won't work well in this case.

export EMACS="/Applications/Aquamacs Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/ Aquamacs Emacs"

will work if the configure and Make files are implemented correctly.

However, in this case, the install directory is important, as others have pointed out.
emacs-w3m would have to be installed in

/Library/Application Support/Aquamacs Emacs/

so would something like

./configure --prefix="/Library/Application Support/Aquamacs Emacs"
make
sudo make install

or so do the job?
