Subject: Re: Tuareg mode with Aquamacs

Don't confuse Emacs and Aquamacs.

They're closely related, but Aquamacs decided to put such files where they made more sense to Mac users than Emacs does.

Unfortunately, some people think more like Emacs users than Mac users, so we don't use Aquamacs.
There are several Emacs / Xemacs packages that run on Macs under Aqua (the GUI) and for them, the instructions in taureg-mode probably apply directly.

According to the tuareg-mode README, you should place both tuareg.el

Okay, if I understand that correctly, the tuareg.el goes into Application Support, the Preferences.el into Preferences. Wouldn't it be more handy to have both in te same folder?

(setq auto-mode-alist (cons '("\\.ml\\w?" . tuareg-mode) auto- mode-alist))
(autoload 'tuareg-mode "tuareg" "Major mode for editing Caml code" t)
(autoload 'camldebug "camldebug" "Run the Caml debugger" t)

Overall not very comfortable and not described in the manual like that. I know why I don't like Emacs.

Thanks anyway.
