Re: Re: Absolute beginners problem with Preferences.el: msg#00035emacs.macintosh.osx
Doh, I must be getting old or as one of my friends said when I got a lower nerd score than her: you are drifting too much into management these days. I managed to get the wrong icon installed in the dock - so all the time where I have been fighting with the Aquamacs set-up I have been running GNU Emacs. A big appology for that confusion! It turns out that Aquamacs loads everything as it should which is good. But, having said that there is another problem with Aquamacs that I hietherto attributed to GNU Emacs: Aquamacs does not respect my keyboard layout created using Ukelele! I have my own customised Danish Dvorak layout and when I press any of the C-<key> shortcuts it uses the normal system keyboard, e.g., C-x C-s becomes C-b C-; which does not make a lot of sense. For now I will continue to use GNU Emacs since it works for me and while I am at it I will run over to the GNU Emacs wiki and remove the big, stupid question I raised there on lack of respect for my keyboard layout. Again, I appologise for taking up your time.
